ha! i just came home from fee's hall production!
it was definitely enjoyable and FUNNY! my goodness! HAHAHAs. the actors and the actressors are talented, some vocally and others in acting ((: isn't God's creation wonderful? He made each and everyone GOOD in some ways! i wonder how much time did God actually spent in writing about us in His book! i bet it's LONG! cos He has got so many things that He wants to give to us! WOW huh?! but again, God also made us such a way that we need to work as a TEAM that everyone, YOU, ME and US have to. and together, we can bring glory to God! for God says in the bible in 1 corinthians 12:21-26::

"21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 22On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."

and i believe that this is a key to fee's production's success. ((:

i had a eventful day today. went tutoring in the morning and then flag day at jurong east. God is really really really very very interesting! HAHAs. He never let go of any moments which He can use to teach me. while i was walking up and down asking for donations, there's this indian old who was physically dirty and weak, unable to walk. he saw me from a distance, hand-signalling for me to go to him so that he could do a small token of donation. my heart was filled compassion as i see a man like him, so needy yet so giving. and i said God, "Lord, bless this man as he gives!" so i ran towards him and stretched out the tin towards him. he was slow in his action as he tried to reach out to the pocket on his left chest. and as i stood there stretching out that donation tin.. MANY eyes just like suddenly LOOK at me? worst still, there's this uncle who's beside the old man who said many nasty things to me. the more he said, the more my heart felts so pierced. then i began to question God, "Father, am i doing the right thing? should i just walked away?" but somehow i knew that the old man wanted to GIVE very much even though he's in need. so i made a decision to just wait for him while the nasty things just kept coming.

finally, "dop" there goes the coin and i offered the old man a sticker. and very quickly, i ran back to my bag area where i reached out for my wallet and quickly ran back to the uncle, blessed him and hugged him. well, i am not here to boast about what i did but what God showed to me. you will find out soon (:

i continued walking up and down and around the interchange asking for donations. but guess what? when i returned to the place near where the old man was, the uncle who made nasty remarks came forth and DROPPED COINS INTO MY TIN saying, "其实我不是很想捐钱的。我自己也没有工作。但是我看你刚才对那个uncle那样。。哎呀。。" and then he went off. wah i tell you, i seriously couldnt take it. my eyes went teary and ya.. took a break and reflected on what had happened. my mind was totally BLANK. i took out my bible but there wasnt a single verse in my mind. so i turned to God and asked Him, "God, what is it that You want to show me today?" my pierced heart is so healed.

and i came home reflecting, and i God just reminded me of 2 things mentioned in the bible:
1. the two blind men who cried out to Jesus when they heard that He was coming:
[Matthew 20:29-30,34] 29As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd
followed him. 30Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that
Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"
34Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received
their sight and followed him.
2. a verse in the bible which says God using the weak to shame the strong:
[1 Corinthians 1:27] But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God
chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong

and now i just happened to came across this verse in Romans which says:
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express."

and i was like stunned. this verse is so true isnt it? i didnt know what i could pray and ask from God when i was reflecting in the afternoon what happened. but now, i can picture it so clearly. i remembered Ps YC led us into a time of praying and thanksgiving that we are able to stand in place of Jesus to bless those people out there. and so interestingly, it happened to me the next day(which is today). i'm like.. oh my gosh. God, You are so interested in me, arent You?!

i am totally in awe and felt so honored to be able to stand in place of Jesus to bless that old man. the uncle who said nasty things was like the 'strong man' mentioned in the bible and of course, the weak resembles the old indian man (: but i believe that the uncle's heart was blessed in a way or two. even if i don't know, i know that God knows. He knows it all well. ((:

i am really thankful that i am able to bless in place of Jesus and to know that He is interested in me! ((: ((: but definitely, i'm not the only one. God is interested in you too! :D so what are you waiting for? MAI TU LIAO! (dont wait anymore!) starting taking authority in Jesus' name to bless! :D

What is G.R.A.C.E?

God is G.O.OD, all the time! ;)
this phrase has been said so many times by Christians that somehow the meaning gets diluted.
surely there are people who said this for the sake of saying when on the inside they are questioning.

I just came home from leaders' meeting. I can't help but only give thanks to God for the many things that He has done in my life. God did a heart transplant for me, renewed it and strengthen it so much more than i could ask for. I'm so touched by the Lord once more. ((: Thank You, Lord.

As this week is coming to an end, my heart is filled with much gratitude. I have been experiencing God's grace these few days including today so much that i can only stand in awe of God. Indeed, God's grace is more than enough. And i thank God that i had such a gracious God, gracious Father like Him.

this semester of my school was definitely a challenging one for me. in fact, it's the most difficult one so far in the two years of my poly life. I had my first paper last friday on immunology, a module which i actually quite enjoy (except for the chunk of stuff that i have to memorise. hee). i found it was so difficult for me to answer the questions on the exam paper when every of my friends were saying that the paper was easy. then my first reaction was to turn to God and ask Him, "God, why like that?" i had no peace at all. many bad thoughts just kept coming into me that day after my paper.

Pastor Melvyn preached a sermon on "The Gift of Grace" last sunday which totally speaks to me, alot. I encountered some problems in my ministry and yes, that doesnt gave much peace to me. but afer the sermon, i was determined to receive the gift of Grace, i want to have a pure and tender heart for God.

i had my CCTA paper on monday. it was a module that i havent been doing well, like JUST pass that kind. i was so afraid and there was no peace in me! but God is good, really. i said a little prayer in my heart before the paper and it totally blew my mind when i saw that God's answering it. He hears my prayer! and this, is, Grace. the paper was considered manageable(compared to my 2common tests) and i really thank God for that. i prayed to God again for fruitful study for my paper that falls on the next day.

and yes, i had peace studying that night until my dad came home... everything was turned upside down. my dad and i had a little crash that night. i never felt so accused, never. and yes, i cried. i was so heartbroken and hurt by everything that he said. my heart was filled with bitterness and many past hurts came rushing back to my mind. i needed a hug so much and i miss my big brother so much (cos every time when i cry, he will hug me close to him and let me cry til his shoulder's wet =X). so i turned to God and cried out to Him, "Lord, i dont want a hardened heart! Help me to love, to love my father even more!" i told God, "God, i take this as a test that is from You, for You to know if my cry for a tender and pure heart is true or just words..." i was reminded of Psalm 51 where David asked God for a "broken and contrite heart" and i prayed to God for it. i also re-surrendered my studies and my ministry to God.

i felt good after the prayer and continued studying which so happened that i fell asleep =X i didnt finish studying for my tuesday paper! and it's really ALOT that kind. plus, i actually failed my common test? ahhh, i got panicked when i realised that it was around 5am when i suddenly woke up that morning. i quickly flipped through the lecture notes hoping that i can some what finish studying for my 9am paper. i prayed earnestly to God when i was on my way to school for that paper so much so that i kept repeating myself, just in case God didnt hear. But God heard it. Just before my paper, i received encouraging messages one which says having a victorious, strong and positive mindset as we face daily challenges. I knew these weren't coincidental. It's God. so i prayed to God and told Him that i want to conquer this paper with the spirit of God! i want to have confidence in Him!

And all was good ((: Thank God! (:

As i mediated on God's goodness and the sermon on sun, God showed me 2 Corinthians 12:9-10:
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

then i began to asked myself? "What is Grace?"
for many who knows, grace = God's Richest At Christ Expend. and that's an Amen!
but for me personally after this week of God's GRACE, all i can say is, Grace is God, who is Strong that when i am weak, I can be strong in Him and Him alone. All glory to God.

So what is GRACE to you?

And today, at leaders' meeting, I am truly blessed once again as a leader. Just ytd, my prayer for my ministry was answered and my prayer in loving my dad more, today. God is good, isn't He? My heart was melted. who am i that i am worthy of God's attention? i was totally lost for words and all i could tell God was "Thank You". when Pastor YC asked us to pray to God to reveal our hearts' condition, i just heard God saying to me, "take heart, daughter!. You need to have the courage to love, to love your dad and I want to give it to you." i was utterly broken.

today's meeting was definitely a refreshing session for me and for many others i believe.

"my heart is captivated by You O God.
melted by the Grace You have shown."

first thing first..

HAPPY and PROPSPEROUS CHINESE NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! :D

hee! ((:

well, it's gonna be a mass update once again! =X hahahas. so sorry! =X let's start with the recently happened to the early early one ^^ went to church for morning service ytd after which i went out with BEN, bobby, jasper, frans, wayne, JJ, and henzy for lunch at airport and then to ikea cos ben was looking for some stuff ((: took many random pics in church as well as on the train on our way home! COOL mann! :D

2nd thing will be saturday's combine cell reunion lunch! =D LOVE IT! :D hee. a few of us were grouped together to prepare a dish to bring for the gathering. yes, it's pot luck! HAHAHA. i tag-team with huiyu, sijia and bobby! but it ended up only with bob and i cos sijia and huiyu had to anchor the 144 cell meeting. so no choice. =/ but anyways! it was a fun experience! wahahahas. bob and i made mashed potatoes. met up with him and wayne to buy the stuff needed on friday. BUT INTERESTINGLY, we bought the wrong potatoes! =O X\ only knew it after bob had reached home and told by his mum. HAHAs. woke up at 6am the next day and met up with bobby early in the morning to get the CORRECT potatoes nearby his house. and yes, we got it RIGHT thing time! LOLs. after that i went to his house to prepare the food lors. hee ((: bob's mummy is so nice (: she bought breakfast for us and helped us out quite a bit ((: sadly! i didnt take photos of us preparing the mashed potatoes. =X but yer lars. gathering there got quite a bit ((: HOHOHOs. enjoy! :D

was looking through the photos i have in my hard disk and i realised that there are quite a few things which i have yet to update you guys with! =X opps. hee. but anyways, since i am free now.. i shall update a bit. ((: hee. went to some agrotech parks in Singapore for one of my agrotech pract! get to see how vegetables are being grown in greenhouses in Singapore and some animal farms like goat and chicken farms ((: had many many fun and took many many photos! :D hee. :D

Cell Retreat 26-28 Dec 2008

WOW! jessica had her hoildays! :D hahahas!
went for cell retreat on the 26-28 dec 2008.
had loads of fun during the game sessions and thus, enjoyed myself many many! :D
learnt some new stuff and was reminded of many things that i have learnt in the past. ((:

encountered God once again and was touched by the Holy Spirit. there's breakthrough even as 2008 is coming to an end. my grandpa's death definitely wasn't something easy for me to accept it and there were many things that i keep telling myself i have to do eg. be strong. God revealed things like:

1. the photo of my grandparents which i take it with my everyday,
2. the busy schedule,
3. striving to be strong but not through God''s strength.

i would always take a look at the photo which i kept and pray for my grandfather. but, i will moan over it again and again as i pray which, is no good.
i didnt get to rest well enough with my busy schedule every week. as a result, i compromised my morning devotion with God.
striving to be strong in flesh was something that's even tiring. i kept telling myself that i have to be strong as my grandma needs me now also, hoping that i can bring light to her. but because i didnt draw strength from God, i find it really tiring.

and yes! everything's the PAST now! i have let it GO and let GOD to handle it! :D because it's a breakthrough, a great breakthrough, i am able and ready to share it now. i didnt/wouldnt a lot on my grandapa death in the past. i want to give thanks to God and indeed, He is an awesome God! All glory to You, Lord! ((:

another thanksgiving will be the presence of my two girls, Waiyin and Cherie. ((: having them around with me in this camp really helps and it encourages me a lot as a leader. it also helps in my discernment in God's voice and to be hungry for God. i am really thankful to our heavenly Father. hope that they have learnt new things of God and of themselves through this retreat ((: and, Cherie's baptism definitely was and is a blessing. :D same goes to Claire. it's really a touching sight to be able to see the younger ones baptised (: thank God for the opportunity to talk to her parents and being able to see her family. i believe there's a breakthrough in her family! AMEN!

talking so much on the personal level, there's small breakthrough in my cell level also ((: had a small chit-chatting session on the second day night, mid-night/early morning. hahas. so cool right! WAHAHAHAHAs! :P

YAY-YAY! finally my ahpa's married! :D woohoooo~ XD :P i am so happy for him (: thank God for His love and blessing upon my ah pa, with a wonderful lady, melissa (: she's an inspiration to me! (:

went to attend their wedding on 15nov'08, saturday. it was one of the best wedding i have atteneded other than my brother's. melissa's cell and my ah pa's cell people came together and composed a song for the new couple. they sang for them on the wedding ceremony ((: as for my ah pa, he came up with a dance for melissa and chose a song so that they can sing together on stage! he's always up with so many interesting ideas! :D

hee. joa, cheryl, jaren daryl and a few other brothers helped out as ushers on my ahpa's wedding. hohohos. but didnt managed to take photos with joa and cheryl that day cos they rushed off to uncel sze kiang's wedding straight after my ahpa's ((:

finally!
managed to meet up with my YEP friends.
not all, but at least PINTO, NIC, TOMATO and SUPING!! :D
met up at plaza sing and went for dinner at carl's junior.
wanted to watch a movie but was too late already.
hence decided to just chill and chit-chat lors ((:

Pinto is like super funny can?! and it's FOREVER one can?!! LOLs.
after getting to know him a bit more, find that he's a nice guy.
now that he has got a girlfriend, i feel so happy and excited for him!
am very blessed to even know that he's very active in his church.
never will i thought that such a playful guy like him will be like this. ((:

as for Nic and Tomato,
both of them started their attachment already.
saw them in the NEAT and TIDY attire. LOLs.
not use to it now but i will. ((:
tomato's work is a LOADS while nic's work is so SLACK.
heaven and earth difference =/
but nic has many 'INTERESTING' encounters in his work arh!
super funny and all! HAHAs.

Suping darling started giving tuition now!

managed to get clients through an agency which i thought was quite good,
cos the agency actually got her 4 students in a very short period.
all are primary school kids and twice a week for each student.
pay is consider GOOD for a starting tutor ((:
ah, and she had a taste of being a teacher!

but well, ALL THE BEST to you darling!

as for me, i am good lars.
just BUSY. loads of work to do, meetings to attend.
what i really thank God for is that i am still able to meet up with my friends and,

FIRST: Usher duty!

signed up as an usher for this year graduation batch.
had loads of fun but spent quite a bit of money on the dress code! :/
everything else are fine except that we have to report at 7.15AM for the usher duty!

and the best thing is that it was on thursday which i had NO school actually!

but yeps, had a new experience and fun lars.

yeps, some updates.
i know i know. hehes.

thank God fer the exams still! though i think inac paper cannot make it but ya, pass can already bahs. as for biochem and molecular bio, by God's grace lors=)) yeps. thank God also because i got to see zhenying and ruoning! my PPG sisters! miss them so much=D

anyways, hee. ^^ went timbre with pinto they all on the wed before the exams week. cos pinto's friend had a small concert there so we went there to support and FUN. HAHA. uhm. yer lors yer lors. hee. didnt know what drink to have that night. so pinto helped me ordered cosmopolitan. nice drink ;) hee. the guys had some big big cup kind of drink. i think it's beer? cant rmb =X saw wayne(lsct gl) that day also. HAHA. he was like so stunned? LOLs. left timbre kinda early hence we decided to go for a dao-hui session before headed for home. had a great time there. the guys were so funny! HOHOHOs.

sat nth much. sunday! hahahas. church! then had dinner at tiong! spiritual family dinner. but i went off half way cos i had primary school gathering also=D met up at great world city kenny rogers. it was a small gathering. only a few of us turned up BUT we had a great time together ;D hmmm.. saw the guys, all so TALL now=/ last time shorter than me one lors! hohohos. but i am not sad. cos they are suppose to be tall :P :P yeps. after everyone had their dinner, we went to lloyd's place to chill out. hee^^ had a great time chit-chatting! went off earlier as i need to be home. got curfew=S yeps.

today's SURPRISE day! hee^^
all thanks to my two girls!=D

school was rather boring today. was so sleepy can?! headache. then worst. dip plus chem make my head BIGGER =S kill my brain cells! :( but thank God! my evening was a GREAT ONE! hee^^

went to marina square to meet waiyin and cherie.
saw bamm-bamm and pinto at the bus stop!! *HAPPY*
hahahas. so good to see them!=)) hee^^

yeps. anyways! back to my marina square! hahahas. yeps. went to meet up with waiyin and cherie straight after my dip plus chem lesson. actually i thought only meeting cherie. but surprisingly, waiyin was there too!=D hahahas.
and what's best is i didnt expect that they had planned to celebrate mother's day with me! i'm very touched=) met them at the roof top there, our secret hang out place. hehes^^ they bought cakes from cafe cartel to celebrate nehs!=)) we ate the cake together and hang out a while there crapping=X had some informal time together. ate and laughed together!=D

after our cake-ing session, we went to waraku to have our dinner^^ hahahahas. it was a LONG LONG waiting before we get to went in! had a little fun while waiting.

but it's worth waiting i guess. the food was like so so so nice can?! hee^^

but anyways, really thank God for this two daughters that God has blessed me with=) am really blessed by these two girls in my life. of course, there are ups and downs lars. but it's also because of all these that God is able to bring us together as a family in Christ=) being their spiritual leader/mother is both a happy and heartache journey. but i am willing to continue on this mothering jounrey!;)) yeps. thank God for their lives!

yeps. this post is gonna be LONG.

the trip was really GOOD!!
everyone should go!!
hahahas.
it's so good that i cant use words to describe.
but the trip would be so good without my wonderful YEP-mates and teachers!
they are all so fun-loving and nice!;))

hahahas.
hmmmm..
overall the trip was a good experience=))
never had i ever build something anywhere in singapore.
let alone in VIETNAM.
wahahahas.
but everything was good!=D
start from scratch.
used all the simple tools to dig holes and make cement.
everything looked so easy while the constructors were doing the job.
but when it comes to our turn..
mann.. it's really HARD work.
hohohos.
my group and group 1 happened to be the first two groups to work in the field((:
wooohooo!~
was so excited.
but no joke okiies.
must be man enough to work!
hahahahs. =D
need a lot of strength.
yeps yeps.

well..
the working days work like this.
two days of work and "housewives" for a day for each group=))
yeps yeps.
housewives because the team that's off from work gotta stay back to clean up the house,
including toilets and, to go to the market to buy ingredients to cook lunch and dinner for everyone=))
yeps yeps.
first few days of work were tough.
cos most of it were working downwards.
gotta dig and dig and dig.
yeps yeps.
after that were quite alright cos start to build the fence and the wall up liaos=))
interestingly, we did the work kinda fast that we got time to SLACK! =P
got time to have coffee break=))

talking about coffee..
wahs..
the coffee in vietnam is GOOD!
i dont drink coffee one hors.
so i say good, must be really good =P
hehehes.
heard from mr tan that ngee ann alumni got sell.
if interested can go try try=))
the coffee smells and taste nice!
the only thing is that it's SUPER DUBER sweet=X

gotta bear with it though. hee^^

hmmm..
food in vietnam is almost the same in singapore.
but a little bit more salty.
and every meal will have this fish sauce and few vegetables.
vietnamese eat lots of vegetables and it's nice=))

the culture there arh..
ehhhh..
conservative lo.
the weather is like so warm yet the people still can wear long sleeves, long pants, hats and masks =S best!
yeps yeps.
hence when we wear like shorts and walk around,
the people that will looked at us weirdly. lols.
ha..
the kids there are definitely different from singapore's.
they are rough and tough, forever hyperactive.
lols.
we had a hard time controlling them.
but, it's still FUN!;))

the construction workers there were funny!
lols.
they kept calling us as " you you you you...."
lols.
then some of the guys inmitate them.
made me laugh like hell.

IT'S GREAT, WONDERFUL AND FUN!=))
i really thank God for this trip and the people who went=))
i am so thankful that God had blessed me with such wonderful and interesting teachers and fellow YEP-mates.
thank God for their lives!=))
the greatest lesson that i've learnt from this missionary trip was that i am very blessed.
God showed it so clearly to me.
when i saw the children in the kindergarten,
joy overflows me and i was filled with compassion.
i remembered that one of the thing that i asked from God from this trip was to have compassion for the poor.

see, if you dare to ask, God will bless((=

the Lord also opened up my eyes to see how fortunate i am to have know Him.
looking at those kids, do they know Him?
nope, they dont.
they dont even have the chance to listen to it but i HAD.

my right eye has been swelling since sunday :'(
dont know what exactly happened.
and i'm like so sad can?!
just went to see the doctor at cck polyclinic.
but the doctor like blur blur one? lols=)
he also dunno what happened.
no lars. i think he knows but not sure.
he assumed it as bacterial infection first=)
then asked me to go pharmacy there to collect eyedrop and ointment to apply on my eye.
if three days later my eye isn't well yet,
i will have to go back to see him again nors=))
yeps yeps.
then got 2days mc fer this.
wahahahas. lols.
so must keep me in prayer. hopefully it's bacteria infection.
then i will be well in 3days' time!=D

thank God for FOC!
i enjoyed myself and hopefully the freshies did so too!((:

hmmm.. first two days were prep camp for the foc. we moved all the logistics from clubhouse to blk 56 on the first day. then prepared the stuff for the telematch, A&D, nightwalk and station games. busy busy busy! yeps. first day was really busy. second day was more slack bahs=) can't remember what we did but was something that has gotta do with station games. heee. get to bathe earlier that day^^ then after the dance practice, we had some graduating ceremony where we were officially the GLs of LSCT!^^ so fun, so interesting! hahahahahas. after that we had "champange" night! the AGLs bought some gas-y juice fer us nehs. so nice right! oh yes yes. forgot to mention about the angel and mortal thing. hahahas. played angel and mortal game during the 5-day camp also=)) received chocolates from my angel^^ yepyeps. hee.

and on the third day, FOC STARTS! ;)
first was induction day where the freshies gathered at LT22 and listened to some inroduction and stuff. then the GLs(us) brought them around the school to see see abit here and there. later the freshies have their lunch andddddd....
FOC officially starts! =D weeeeeee!!^^

straight after the lunch, the games and log comm ppl rushed off to prepare our opening ceremony game fer the freshies!oh ya.. i'm in the games comm. heee^^ yeps. went off to prepare for the telematch while the welfare people entertained the freshies in the hall.=)) went to blk 56 to collect all our logistics needed for the telematch and went to the kismis field. took quite long to prepare. especially combining the two green canvas together. gotta tie and everything. super difficult. hahahas. but i learnt a new skill! yeps. after everything were set up, we waited for all the freshies to come and we START((: chiong arh! hahahas. seeing the freshies playing all these games reminds me of last year's FOC when i was like one of them? it's so fun seeing a new batch of people playing the same thing as you! wahahahahas. the best part of the telematch is the part where all the freshies gotta crawl un the big sheet of green canvas under very low raffia strings! yes, BEST PART! hahas. cos' all the GLs(including AGLs and SGLs), we throw water bombs, planta, pour ketchup, flour on the freshies! ^^ hahahas. it's STINKS like dunno what lo! if only you're there to play yourself! lols. ((:

after the telematch, the freshies got themselves cleaned up a bit and went fer their dinner while the log and games comm people stayed back to clear up the mess and then rush off to their varies game stations to prepare for the next part of the camp, the Angel and Devil game which we have a final showdown at night. actually is midnight. hahas. what happened was that the freshies moved in group from one game station to another to collect and win water bomb bags for their group for the final showdown. after they have finished all the game stations, they were to make their own water bomb using those bags that they won=)) of course.. the GLs also gotta make their own water bombs! hahahahas. bow then i know that blk 51 is actually the LSCT bomb making factory. so interesting! wahahahas. amazingly, we made over 10,000 water bombs that night! o.O alot right! hehehehes. GLs mahs. lols.

well, the angel and devil game ended around 12plus and at around 1am, final showdown BEGINS!=D hahahas. BOMB BOMB BOMB! all water bomb bags gone liaos! super duber FUN! though i gotta play with my torchlight on lars. but yes, it's fun!=D believed the freshies enjoyed themselves too=)) hee. after all the bombings... it's time to clean up! lols. yeps. gotta pick up all the bomb bags on the ground and dispose them correctly=)) we are good girls and boys^^

after the final showdown, the freshies went to bathe. by then was already 2 or 2plus in the morning liaos wors. hahahas. then we bathe and have small debrief lo. everything ended about 6am=))
END OF DAY 1((:

day two of FOC is the most tiring! lols. we had a meeting with the seniors at 7am. after that was quick breakfast and off the log and games comm people disappear to prepare for the station games while the welfare people brought the freshies down to the track to play a mass game with them=)) i love my station game can! hahahas. thanks to our seniors lars! they are the best! played MUD together with us(the gamemasters: me and liting and the log ppl, ziying)! my game station is called the "earthworm jim"(: it's super fun and easy to play. just need to make your whole body covered with mud can already. but of course, the gamemasters are the one who name the rules lars! =D both me and liting enjoy soaking ourselves in the warm mud pool and rolling about can?! the feeling is ... wooohooooo!~ ;) goody good!^^

after the station games was wash-up. the GLs and the freshies got themselves wash up, had dinner and prepared themselves for the performance night. anddddd.... guess what?? i was one of the emcee that night lo=P ziying was the other=)) hee. i was so nervous at first. but after a bit of warm up.. everything was okiies liaos=)) heee. yepyeps. being an emcee isn't easy lo. gotta keep the freshies HIGH at all times eh. lols. after performance night supposed to be the hopnight where all the freshies and GLs will dance together in the hall fer around 1hour plus plus. BUTTTT...... the speaker spoilt=S hahahas. the GLs gotta entertain the freshies and keep them awake throughout so that they wont fall asleep before the nightwalk event=)) this goes on this 2am and later, heard that lao de told the freshies some ghost stories. wahahahas.^^ nightwalk start at 330am and ended6.30am=)) freshies who finished it earlier went to sleep. yeps.
END OF DAY 2...

as for the GLs. most didnt get to sleep. cos after 6.30, we packed up blk 80 and 50 then went back to out logistic stuff. hence, our 2nd and 3rd day is the same day lo... lols. later when seeing the photos.. you guys will see some people's face kena draw.. that's because when they were asleep, the GLs went around to draw their faces, hands and legs. hee^^ but most of us is just kena draw fer no reason one lo. i am one good example. kena dao-pok some small. my whole legs and hand kena draw like dunno what=S lols. BUT then AGAIN... i had fun!=D i got to drew on ppl's faces, hands and legs also lars. so.. heee^^ equally bad=P

then at 9am, breakfast was ready! got the freshies to wash-up and had their breakfast. then we have some group photo-taking session. then at 11am, we moved the freshies to LT24 for debrief and some prize presentation. the welfare people started off by playing some funny games with them and later they presented their one and only skit to the freshies=D heee. later the SGLs took over to announce the different title that each group has won=) RAIKO won the most UNITED group! ;) steady mann! raiko! big jess is proud of you all!!=D yeps yeps. then after that we break into our own groups to sign our flags lo=)) then the freshies go home liaos! as for the GLs... we took a group photo before we break up for debrief=)) the debrief was quite an emo debrief. our two organisers cried lo! lols. but yeps.. very proud of them!^^ well done davin and donald!;)) after debrief, we went back to blk 56 and moved all the remaining logistics back to clubhouse andddddddddd... HOME SWEET HOME!=D lols!

Are you leading a simple life?

want to thank God for being so good!(: this two days have been more or less tired for me. slept late and had meetings here and there plus lessons in school. morning til late afternoon for both ytd and today are tiring and draining. but God is good(: both nights were great and refreshing((=

hmmm..met up with eejay ytd at funan fer dinner and catch up here and there.((= the place was nice and quiet cos not many people there. hahahas. had a great and relax time with him. enjoyed it so much. so relaxed, no rush, not much noise, more heart-felt sharing=)) yeps. really thank God for eejay. he's always so willing to give=))

as fer today, i had the NP open cell=)) as usual, jasper was our preacher=)) but before he started sharing, all of us shared with each about our dreams and what we want to be when we're young and now. i shared mine and ended saying that i want to become a doctor in the future. as i listened to other brothers' sharing, few questions ran through my mind. like, "where did all the other dreams went to?" and "why were they crushed?" hahas. so in my heart i asked, "God, is that you?" hahahas. in my mind i was thinking that most of my dreams are either not realistic or it's not something that i am studying now mahs... so how can i like become that? yeps. i think like me, most of us have dreams that we used to have when we're young but were later crushed and the thinking is somehow the same as mine. either not realistic, loss interest, or not studying in it. i think the question God wants to ask us today is that where is the child-like faith that we had when we're young where we would dare to dream big dreams?

anyways, jasper shared with us on 1 Thessolonians 4:11-12. minding our own business and leading a simple life for God. something that struck me was, "So what is my simple life for God?" jasper's simple life : revolve around God, himself, his cell bro-s, Eejay, Oswin, Alvin, Julee's 144(not sure if i did miss out any. sorry)
melvin shared that his simple life is just simply aligning himself to RongHui's life=))

so what is simple life?
just got enough to spend, eat and time to sleep and have fun, not lacking anything?
well, the answer is, there's no right or wrong answer(: different people have different limits to a simple life. for me personally, my simple life means to revolve around just God, myself, my family, Julee's tribe, Ah pa, gege and my two best friends(ZY & RN). yeps. that's all. these are all my business. hee=)) i find rest, love, joy, care, fun, and everything=D i am happy=)) yeps. leading a simple life yet still want to claim victory and ask big things from God!=))

thinking about the past, i think my life wasn't at all simple. studies used to be my stronghold in the past and followed by my friends, not so much of church and family. striving to be excel in almost everything that i do was also my business in the past. hahahas. basically, anything good, challenging, tough, i want to do! hence, it was actually kinda tiring. this one want to good, that one also. people do what, i also want to know, want to do, want to be part of it that kind. just study study study, do do do, busy busy busy, not much of play, very jia-lat. end result: i got myself so tired! =S yeps. that's my life before i experienced the touch of God.

so question is : Are you leading a simple life? =))

thank God for His loving kindness and faithfulness to us=))
some personal take-away after reading it.

a) i believe David was at his wits' end, broken in spirit at that moment.
we can understand what kind of circumstances David was in and how he felt by looking at the v4.
Like us, David was afraid too.
but nevertheless,
David chose to praise God and look to God's love and faithfulness,
trusting that He will surely come to save him from his enemies(v5-6).

b) David knows who to call to and which source to look to which is none other than God=))
humbly he come before God and asked Him for His mercy,
recognising that God is His shield(v1),
firmly believing that God will come to deliver him from his enemies and will punish them(v3).

c) v7: a covanent made between david and God.
v8: david's flesh is failing him.
but he did not give in.
he made use of musical instruments to praise God and lift His name on high.

d) praising God all the way(v9-11)
David chose to praise God to the ends of the earth despite of what situation he was in.
he was afraid but did not let it overwhelmed him.
instead, he was so overwhelmed by the love of God and His faithfulness. =))

are there any big problems that are troubling you causing to grow weary and feel like giving up?
David praised God all the way and was not swayed by the situation. he had fixed his eyes on God, his heart to trust in God's love and faithfulness.

question is:: are we WILLING to choose to focus on God and praise Him all the way instead of being so downcast by the problem?!

Praise the Lord!
we've finished our (eejay and julee's cell) 100km walk at 11.25pm at expo hall 9 today!=D
wahahahas.
thank God that this 100km walk is a successful event.
indeed, just by ourselves alone, we cannot accomplish anything big.
but with God, the impossible-s become possible!=)
though it did rain in the afternoon,
after jasper led us into prayer,
the rain stops!
hallelujah!=D
after that,
the weather was so so so fine!
and guess what?
received a sms from julee mama that the east was pouring heavily!
but over at our side(west), the sun is shining so brightly;))
really tasted the goodness of the Lord yesterday for i believe that this is not a coincidence but rather, God holding back the rain fer us!
He's watching over us=))

had my microbiology lab as usual today.

my IPC practical test is OVER and math quiz ytd!

today's IPC practical was okiies i think.
titration..
do til my hand can rot liaos.
have been doing it back in sec school.
AND, i just found out one amazing thing.
back in sec school,
the marks given for the titration results recorded on titration table ONLY is 12.
now,
i've to draw the table myself and record the results,
the marks given is only FOUR!
amazing! =.=
but anyways,
that's only fer the titration part.
the dilution question is killing.
hopefully i got it right.
otherwise the qns after that ALL will be wrong.
and that's like 5 qns?
alot of marks eh.
nvm! it's OVER!
commiting it to God's hands=))

ended school around 5pm today.
cos of the IS briefing for next yr.
if not 3pm finish le lo.
after that went to cck bossini look for something then shun bian went to see if the watch i want still have.
guess what?
dont have liaos!
i asked that salesperson then he said that one is limited edition =.="

but i find it weird lo.

this is COOL evening!
reached home around 6pm then do some stretching here and there.
after that, do my housework.
nope, i didn't do stretching because i want to do housework okiies.
just feel like doing it, so i did.
housework was terrible.
cos, i just finished them all not long ago.
both my parents are not in singapore, plus the amount of school work i have,
i actually didn't do housework fer like 4days?
the house is like a rubbish dump, LOADS of clothes to wash.
packing and cleaning the house and washing the toilets were okiies.
it's just the washing of clothes that's very tiring.
cos dunno how to use washing machine. =X
(not i want de okiies. it's becos my dad dun allow me to use. so never have chanvce to learn.)
then i gotta hand wash all my clothes including my 2 brothers'.
separated them into my clothes, my white clothes, my bro-s clothes, my bro-s' white clothes.
altogether i did four sets of washing-S okiies!
30mins soak in dynamo, rinse, 15mins soak in softener and thorough rinsing, twist dry.
i only have like 3 pails? (one fer tops, one fer bottoms, another fer the clean water fer rinsing)
hahas.
yes, i am complaining!
hahas.
bear with me =X
made use of those water used for washing clothes for wash the kitchen floor, mopping the house and wash toilet floor. then toilet bowl used the toilet bowl cleaner then scrub lo.
hahas.
save water ^^

yeah!
thank God for today!
had a great time with zhenying and ruoning today^^

first was east coast park.
went to east coast park with zhenying to cycle this morning before my lessons start.
cos suddenly both zy and i felt like cycling.
asked rn to join us.but she didin't want to.
so, nvm lo. zy and i went ahead=))

i had a great time!^^
i was like so happy can?
can't tell you how happy i was.
but i really felt so carefree,
my shoulders were so light.
i really love this feeling.
but well,
after so much fun,
must get back to work.

though it was just a short 2hours cycling,
i felt very contented^^
i wish i can tell you how i feel!
but, it's so difficult to write in words.

after cycling,
both of us went to have lunch at marine parade hawker.
we then took bus back to panjang.
i headed for school from panjang while zy went home to wash herself up.

school was rather okiies?
can't understand what the lecturers are talking.
i am so scared that i will fail for the upcoming common tests. ='(

thank God for Pastor Khong,
for today's message.

today's message was really good.
especially for teenagers.
cos, it's always a question that people will ask.
it's on the direction for future=))

pastor shared with us the four points and ended the last with having an intimate relationship with God.
it's so true!
having an intimate relationship with God,
chances of listening to the wrong voice,
wrong desire etc...
is very SMALL=))

so funny.
when pastor was sharing that,
i saw julee in my mind.
hahas.
and i think God wants to show that if we are able to have good and strong relationship with man,
then can we have intimate relationship with Him.
cos, if we can't even build strong relationship with "something" that we can see with our naked eyes,
what's more to talk about building a relationship with someone that you can't see?

yups.
so really want to encourage everyone of you to build strong relationship with the authority that God has placed you under.
for i believe,
this is the first step to initmate relationship with God.
if you can recouncil to man,
so can you recouncil to God, the Holy Spirit who can't be seen.

the game plan

had a great evening at movie with mel they all=))
went to watch the game plan.
it was really nice.
i love the movie.
especially when it talks about relationship between father and daughter.
the movie got a part which said something like "don't undermine the power of a father".
and yes,
i agree=))

father- daughter relationship has always been something that i hold onto very dearly.
not saying the mother - daughter is not dear lars.
just that personally,
my father plays a bigger role in influencing me.
however sadly,
my own relationship with my father is just merely discipline, moral values and be maybe some serious talkings.
nothing personal.
how i wish i am still a little girl in the movie.
so that i can like cry in front of him?
hahas.
no such practice at my home lo.
the more you cry, the more you get it.
seriously sad when i think of it that i do not have very good relationship my my father.
when i see friends who have good relationship with their family,
i really feel happy fer them.
always tell them thay are blessed.

BUTTTTT..
that doesn't mean that i am not bless!;)
at least i have a WHOLE family.
strained relationship can always be mended.
though i sometimes do envy others,
but still,
i thank God for my family memebers.
and i always believe that God has a plan and His purpose fer me in my family.

also,
am really thankful.
my heavenly Father is always here to listen to my heart.
at least i know something.
my physical dad may fail me,
but my Father in heaven never will.

like i've mentioned earlier,
will share what i've learnt at the youth meeting today.

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him." [2 corinthians 2:14]

i like how Pastor Adrian actually started off the message.
first, he reminded us that this is the year of victory.
second, he post to us two thinking questions::
- how many of us have experienced victories.... (something like that)
- how many of us think we could have done better than this... (something like that)

many people actually raised their hands when Pastor asked the 2nd question.
i was one of them.=)
i seriously think that i could have experience more victories than what i have experienced.
but very strangely,
while i was on my way walking to the interchange with the rest to take bus to tiong,
God just suddenly asked me a question.
"no thanksgivings?"
and i told God yes i have and gave thanks to Him with all that i have in mind.
but the more i gave thanks,
the more i felt bu dui jing(wrong) or should i say puzzled?
i hope i can describe the feelings to you.
but really sorry people,
i'm not good at words.
anyways,
i think and think and think until just now,
when i took out my notes to reflect again,
then i know what God is trying to put to me.
i was like, "orhhhh!! so this is the one!" kind of feeling?!
i immediately repented before the Lord and asked for forgiveness.

well,
as much as we feel we could have been more victorious,
the Lord wants to remind each of us not to forget to give thanks to Him in every small victory that He has given or blessed us.
don't fall into the trap of KEEP thinking, "aiya, if only i've done this/that, i would have been more victorious for God this year!"
have this thinking is good.
but don't DWELL in it=))
yups.
always remember,
give thanks to God in all things=)
(1 Thessalonians 5:18a)

yups yups.
Pastor Adrian also said about what causes us to lose our saltiness as God people.
first, we must all know the uses of salt.
it can be used to preserve food, add flavour.
hence, putting it into scripture,
as salts of the earth,
we are of positive influence to pepole's lives and we add flavours to them.
lose saltiness = become exactly like the world.
therefore,
giving in to the things of the world is one of the cause that we don't have the victory of Christ.
Pastor also said something that really struck me hard.
he said, " there is nothing wrong with darkness. the problem lies in the absence of light."
in other words,
if the world has darkness, it only means that there isn't enough light to shine upon it.
there, as God's warriors,
we must all rise up to shine light to the darker side of the world=)

after that Pastor also touched on what we must do to be salt and light.
and the Holy Spirit was mentioned!
John 16:13 gives a very good understanding of having intimacy with Him.

lastly,
Pastor ended the meeting by blessing each of us with John 15:5-11.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Jesus was sharing with His disciples the an ESSENTIAL in order to bear fruit is to remain INTIMATE connection with the vine. but He also illustrated an opposite picture to them. branches that LOSE their connection with the vine are eventually being thrown.

since Pastor touched on knowing and living out the word,
why don't we give a good thought ways to practice that can keep us remained in Jesus?=)
